The NEO PI-R is a concise measure of the five major domains of personality, as well as the six traits or facets that define each domain. Taken together, the five domain scales and 30 facet scales of the NEO PI-R facilitate a comprehensive and detailed assessment of normal adult personality. The NEO PI-R test is an untimed test, which is usually completed within a 90-minute timeframe. The test has 240 questions designed to measure the candidate’s Big-Five personality traits. A second, and shorter exam is known as the NEO Five-Factor Inventory, otherwise called the NEO-FFI has 60 questions.
The NEO-PI-3 is the updated version of the Revised NEO Personality Inventory (NEO PI-R) – the standard questionnaire of the Five-Factor Model (FFM). It is a comprehensive measure of the five major domains of personality (Neuroticism, Extraversion, Openness to Experience, Agreeableness, and Conscientiousness) and the six facets that define each domain. The NEO-PI-3 can be used in counseling and clinical settings with adolescents and adults, business and industrial settings, and for psychological research, including studies in sport psychology and recreation.
RECENT UPDATES. The NEO-PI-3 was designed to provide a general description of normal personality relevant to clinical, counseling, and educational situations. Recent updates include 37 revised items that are easier to read and are appropriate for younger respondents or adults with lower education levels. Separate adolescent (12-20) and adult norms are now available. Profile forms were designed to be more user-friendly and separate forms are available for combined-sex norms. The professional manual has also been revised.
COMPREHENSIVE REPORTS. Both Business and Counseling Reports are available in PDF format. The Business report is appropriate for employment settings and uses adult, combined-gender norms. The Counseling report is suitable for clinical and counseling settings and uses age- and gender-specific norms. Adolescent norms are only available with the Counseling report.
CONVENIENT. The NEO-PI-3 can be administered in 35-45 minutes on SIGMA’s online platform – SigmaTesting.com. Reports are generated immediately. Results are presented using graphs, numbers, high and low trait descriptions, and scale descriptions that are insightful and easy to understand.
SUPERIOR DEVELOPMENT. The NEO-PI-3 consists of 240 personality items and a validity item. Although a few items have been replaced, the NEO-PI-3 follows the same rigorous development as the NEO PI-R and measures the same traits. Research has confirmed the updated version can be used in the same way as its predecessor and can be used with adolescents along with adults and individuals from various cultures around the world.
RELIABLE AND VALID. The updated version retains the reliability and validity of the NEO PI-R and features new normative data. Separate adult and adolescent norms are available. For more information, see the Professional Manual. Stronghold crusader 2 license key generator.
